The California Department of Education (CDE) offered a series of trainings throughout the state during October and November 2008. These trainings were intended to provide an overview of the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and to familiarize new and experienced district PFT coordinators and other district leads in the proper administration of the FITNESSGRAM® test protocols, the correct data collection and reporting procedures, and the appropriate use of results.
The PFT Trainings were designed for school district teams comprised of the district PFT coordinator and a lead physical education teacher who would be responsible for sharing the information with other physical education teachers in their districts.
